Mr. John Winblad, 437 Wayne Street, Jersey City, New Jersey, We thank our God, that we're not homeless this Christmas, in snow and storm and slush. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from your affectionate brother, Otto Olson.Note: This postcard led to the discovery of Otto Olson and Elaine Olson in Chicago. Otto's death was found in the Illinois Death Index and the death certificate said that he was born in Farsund, Norway. His funeral notice led to the names of his children and then they were looked up in the Social Security Death Index and then their funeral notices were found naming living descendants. I then attended the Jensen family reunion that year in Illinois and met my cousins. I later realized that my mother attended the same reunion in 1929 and that her sister Naida had images from the reunion in her scrapbook.
